The GreenHeritage course is still available until August 31, 2026.
Although the project is coming to an end, it will still be possible to take the course GreenHeritage online and earn 4 ECTS credits until August 31, 2026. Don’t miss this opportunity and enroll right away!
The GreenHeritage project developed a blended learning programme to offer a high-quality educational experience for the cultural sector, ICH bearers, and the general audience. This programme combined a comprehensive online course with a series of in-person workshops across Europe.
The online component remains fully available on this platform, allowing you to earn a micro-credential at your own pace.
The online component consists of four (4) modules:
Module 1: “Intangible Cultural Heritage: Introduction and Overview”.
Module 2: “Intangible Cultural Heritage and Climate Change I: Threats and Protection. An environmental perspective”.
Module 3: “Intangible Cultural Heritage and Climate Change II: Challenges and Opportunities”.
Module 4: “ICT Tools for Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage”.
You can select to attend only one of the above modules, or all four of them.
Please note: The in-person workshops, which offered an additional ECTS credit, have now concluded and are no longer available for enrollment.
ECTS
Each of the modules presented in the previous section corresponds to the workload of one (1) ECTS.
The four modules are stackable, and therefore, upon completion of all four modules a 4-ECTS Certificate on the topic of ICH and CC, will be allocated by the Centre of Lifelong Learning of the University of the Aegean.
The course is intended for doctoral students, researchers, ethnographers, sociologists, scientists, anthropologists, archaeologists, historians, policy makers, undergraduate students, environmental practitioners (NGOs), business practitioners, journalists and media professionals, and others.
