CUEBC Centro Universitario Europeo per i Beni Culturali, a GreenHeritage project partner, is pleased to announce the publication of issue 57 of “Territori della Cultura”, devoted entirely to the “GreenHeritage” project. This special issue presents a composite mosaic of reflections on the impact of climate change on intangible cultural heritage, addressing issues of relevant relevance and great importance for the preservation of the traditions, knowledge and practices that constitute the intangible cultural heritage of our communities.
A series of contributions that aim to deepen a complex and urgent topic and to offer different perspectives of study, starting with a fundamental – as much as necessary – examination of the very concept of intangible cultural heritage, useful to understand what the effects of climate change may be on it and how they may be observable and, therefore, also predictable and mitigable.
The issue represents a relentless work of dissemination of the project’s research results, therefore, aiming to share the knowledge and skills that are maturing within Green Heritage and that will certainly be useful in guiding the actions and interventions of policy makers, but also the living practices of communities, which represent, afterall, the recipients of the knwoledge and innovative ways of problem-solving.
The magazine “Territori della Cultura”, through the commitment of the Centro Universitario Europeo per i Beni Cultura, has constantly aimed to encourage the circulation of ideas, the sharing of cultural promotion programs and the comparison of scientific, educational and popular approach methodologies, which can structurally connect research with civil society.
