On August 29 and 30, the ILFA team completed two very active and productive workshop days on GreenHeritage in Riga and Carnikava, Latvia.
A total of 17 participants attended four workshop modules to learn about the nexus between climate change and intangible cultural heritage. During τηε workshops participants learnt new skills through individual, pair and group work.
Participants appreciated the opportunity to meet like-minded people during the face-to-face workshops. Meeting and learning with representatives of the local heritage community, the lamprey fishermen of Carnikava, was particularly exciting for participants from cultural and environmental studies, heritage management, and other fields.
The workshops are a part of the blended learning program on intangible culture heritage and climate change consisting of online learning modules and four transnational physical workshops in Latvia, Italy, Greece, and Spain.
